About This Position
Join Quick2Hire as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week PICU travel contract in Lubbock, TX. This night-shift opportunity offers 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., 36 guaranteed hours per week, and the opportunity to provide specialized pediatric critical care.

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive nursing care to pediatric patients in critical care and step-down settings.
- Monitor patient status, respond to clinical changes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Administer treatments and medications safely while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Support patient and family education according to the plan of care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse licensure eligible for practice in Texas.
- BLS certification required.
- PALS certification required.
- Assist with and manage intubation.
- Manage BiPAP/CPAP and care for ventilated patients.
- Manage High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Manage chest tubes.
- Perform ETT and NT suctioning.
- Manage ventilators.
- Provide central line and implanted line care.
- Manage PICC lines.
- Manage continuous sedation and IV vasopressors.
- Manage external ventricular drains (EVDs).
- Care for patients with hydrocephalus and VP shunts.
- Perform intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring.
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Provide post-cardiac surgery care.
- Perform telemetry monitoring on the unit.
- Follow isolation precautions and use appropriate PPE.

Experience
