About the Position
Puget Sound Work Injury Clinic is seeking an experienced, dependable Medical Assistant–Certified to join our small occupational medicine clinic.
This position combines hands-on patient care, detailed chart preparation, and support with front and back office duties. We are looking for someone who communicates kindly, pays attention to details, and takes pride in helping patients and providers feel prepared for each visit.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare patient charts before appointments, gathering relevant medical records, imaging, referrals, and other information needed by the provider.
Complete patient intakes and update medical history, medications, allergies, and the reason for the visit.
Obtain and document vital signs.
Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
Assist providers with in-office procedures as needed.
Accurately enter information into the electronic medical record.
Support patient flow and communicate with the provider about missing information or patient needs.
Organize and restock exam rooms and medical supplies.
Communicate professionally with patients, providers, employers, and coworkers.
Assist with front office and other administrative duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
Previous medical assistant experience in a clinic or outpatient setting.
Experience completing patient intakes and preparing charts before appointments.
Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Comfort using electronic medical records.
Ability to prioritize work, follow through on tasks, and work independently.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Friendly, professional communication and a willingness to help coworkers.
Ability to reliably commute to our Bremerton clinic for scheduled shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
Occupational medicine or workers’ compensation experience.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
