About This Position
SCHEDULE: Saturday and Sunday 8:30am-5pm
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Weekend Wellness Nurse to join our assisted living community. This role is vital in providing high-quality nursing care to residents during weekend shifts, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being are maintained. The Weekend Wellness Nurse will work closely with residents, families, and the care team to deliver personalized support and respond promptly to health concerns.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents in an assisted living setting during weekend shifts, including medication administration, health assessments, and monitoring vital signs.
Respond promptly to resident health needs, addressing concerns or emergencies with professionalism and compassion.
Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
Document all resident interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and in accordance with facility policies.
Educate residents and their families on health management, medication use, and wellness strategies.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, healthcare regulations, and facility standards.
Assist in coordinating emergency responses when necessary and communicate effectively with medical providers.
Qualifications
Current nursing license (RN or LPN/LVN) applicable to the state of practice.
Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care nursing is preferred.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform assessments, medication administration, and emergency interventions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate resident care.
Ability to work independently during weekend shifts while maintaining a team-oriented approach.
Flexibility to adapt to changing resident needs and healthcare situations.
