Licensed Practical Nurse Job Responsibilities
As an LPN working with Interim HealthCare, responsibilities may include:
Providing nursing care and supporting clients health, safety and comfort and well-being
Administering medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, Interim policies and applicable regulations
Assisting with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
Completing nursing assessments with appropriate monitored according to plan of care
Monitoring and recording vital signs
Observing clients for changes in condition and reporting concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members
Identifying and reporting concerns related to patient care, medications, or medical equipment
Qualifications
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable
Must be at least 18 years of age
Previous LPN experience required – 1000 hours worked
1 year pediatric experience
Current CPR certification required; on-site CPR certification is available for qualified candidates
Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
Ability to provide compassionate, professional care in long-term care in a variety of different home environments
