About This Position
The daytime clinical shift centers on executing scheduled medication protocols and responding promptly to incoming physician orders. Nursing staff monitor ongoing resident health statuses and maintain strict operational workflows across their assigned unit.
Compensation, Schedule & Benefits
Pay Rate: Starting at $30/hr for LVN and $35/hr for RN, scaling upward with experience
Schedule: Day Shift, 6AM - 6PM

Responsibilities
Execute comprehensive morning clinical assessments and administer scheduled medications in direct accordance with current medical directives.
Review incoming chart updates throughout the daytime hours and implement new physician orders effectively.
Facilitate structured shift handoffs with outgoing night personnel to ensure continuity of care and accuracy in resident reporting.
Monitor resident baseline health conditions and communicate documented changes directly to the Director of Nursing.
Provide clear clinical direction and task delegation to certified nursing assistants operating on your assigned hallway.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records regarding daily treatments and behavioral observations.
Manage critical incidents or sudden changes in resident condition through established emergency protocols and immediate intervention.

Qualifications & Requirements
Maintain an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license within the state of Texas or a recognized compact state.
Hold a current, active CPR certification through a recognized accreditation body.
Demonstrate previous clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
Possess a strong working knowledge of electronic medical record systems and standard clinical documentation practices.
Must pass a comprehensive standard criminal background check prior to employment.
Must successfully complete a standard pre-employment drug screening.
Maintain reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance for all scheduled daytime shifts.
