Join Our Team as a Radiology / Cardiology Professional in Anchorage, AK

We are actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiology / Cardiology professional to join our team at the Providence Imaging Center. Shift / Schedule

  • Day Shift: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days per week, 8-hour shifts)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in radiology or cardiology imaging
  • Proficiency with Epic charting system required
  • Willingness and experience to travel as part of the role
  • Certifications required: ARRT Mammography (M), ARRT Radiography (R), and Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Experience performing and interpreting the following procedures:
    • 3-D Mammography
    • Diagnostic Mammograms
    • Digital Mammography
    • Screening Mammograms
  • Proficiency with Hologic 3D imaging equipment
  • Experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings required
  • Strong knowledge and adherence to:
    • Isolation Precautions and PPE protocols
    • Radiation Safety standards
    • Universal Precautions and Core Measures

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and accurately perform 3-D mammography, diagnostic, digital, and screening mammograms using Hologic 3D equipment
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures
  • Maintain precise, timely, and thorough documentation in Epic electronic health records
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety and infection control protocols, including isolation precautions and PPE procedures
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment and reporting malfunctions to technical support
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding mammography procedures
  • Stay current with best practices and participate in ongoing training and professional development

Qualifications

  • Valid ARRT certifications in Mammography and Radiography
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proven experience with Epic electronic charting system
  • Demonstrated competency in mammography procedures and radiation safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as required by role assignments
