- Women’s Health / Clinical Requirements (Required): Ectopic Pregnancy, Pelvic exam, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Placenta Abruptio/Previa, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Spontaneous Abortion, Urogenics, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Vaginal bleeding
- Work Settings / Clinic Specialties (Required): High Risk OB, OB/GYN, Triage
- Travel Experience: Not required
- Medication refill/pharmacy workflow and phone-based coordination (required): Pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, Telephone Triage, Follow up phone calls, Scheduling appointments
- Foley catheter insertion/management experience (included in role expectations)
Responsibilities
- Document and chart using Epic
- Provide nursing care across high-risk OB/OB-GYN and triage settings
- Perform patient assessments including height/weight, vital signs, pulse oximetry, pain assessment, and medication reconciliation
- Obtain and review patient histories/needs, including health questionnaire/history and allergies
- Support women’s health clinical needs including pelvic exams and management related to high-risk presentations
- Use EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring) as required
- Monitor and respond to relevant symptoms such as vaginal bleeding and other obstetric presentations listed under Women’s Health requirements
- Administer oxygen when indicated and respond to emergencies including cardiac arrest/CPR and AED use as applicable
- Perform blood glucose monitoring when indicated
- Manage universal precautions and biohazard waste disposal
- Assist with Foley catheter insertion/management
- Coordinate office/clinic workflow: scheduling appointments, telephone triage, pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, and follow up phone calls
- Provide patient teaching and education consistent with nursing standards

- Neurological: altered level of consciousness
- Professional knowledge: universal precautions, biohazard waste disposal, patient teaching, medication refills, follow up phone calls
- Endocrine: blood glucose monitoring
- Assessment: obtain vital signs, pulse oximetry, pain assessment, medication reconciliation, patient history/allergies
- Renal/Genitourinary: Foley catheter insertion/management
- Pulmonary: oxygen administration
