Requirements
- Experience: 2 years of medical assistant experience
- Charting System: Required — Epic
- Travel Experience: Required — Yes
- Certifications: BLS, CMA
Responsibilities
- Provide adult outpatient clinic support in a fast-paced office environment
- Complete office duties, including:
- Authorization forms
- Chart preparation
- Insurance verification
- Pharmacy calls and patient refill requests
- Scheduling appointments (required)
- Stocking supplies
- Telephone triage
- Support patient flow with rooming and clinical follow-up
- Perform follow-up phone calls as needed
- Collect and document vital signs, including:
- Height/weight
- Obtain vital signs
- Pulse oximetry
- Assist with specimen collection, including:
- Labeling of specimens
- Urine — UA/clean catch
- Wound specimen collection
- Prepare patients for exams by recording history, medications, and allergies
- Support lab testing, including:
- Urine dipstick/urinalysis
