- Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
- Travel experience required: No
- Previous charge experience: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity neonatal/pediatric transport care during ground transport
- Manage complex respiratory support, including HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and ventilator care
- Perform airway care and suctioning (ETT/NT) and provide tracheostomy care
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and support end-tidal CO2 monitoring
- Manage chest tubes and ventilated patient care/maintenance of an acute airway
- Support emergency and medication management, including anti-seizure medications and continuous sedation
- Administer/monitor IV vasopressors and perform pediatric dosage calculations
- Provide IV therapy and phlebotomy support, including starting and maintaining IVs
- Assist with arterial line management and central line blood draws
- Support infectious disease precautions, including hyperthermia management and isolation/PPE adherence
- Support neurologic protocols including hypothermia protocol care
- Interpret dysrhythmias and assist with management of dysrhythmias
- Perform NG tube insertion/management
- Provide urinary catheter insertion/management
- Maintain documentation using Epic
