Join our team as a Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics — Electrophysiology Technician on a 13-week Travel/Contract assignment in Richland, WA. This night shift role supports Respiratory Therapy in NICU (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00) with guaranteed 36 hours/week starting 2026-08-24.

Position Details

  • Role: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics — Electrophysiology Technician (Respiratory Therapy / NICU support)

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience
  • NICU experience: Must have experience in a NICU level III or IV unit
  • Charting System: Required — Epic
  • Certifications (required as listed): ACLS, BLS, CRT, CRT or RRT, NRP, PALS, PALS or ENPC, and RRT
  • Professional/clinical skills: Drawing arterial blood gases; Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
  • Professional knowledge & skills include: Adult Critical Care; Emergency Department (required); NICU
  • Pulmonary function: Spirometry (required)
  • Preferred: Trauma Level I experience; Trauma Level II experience
  • Travel experience: Not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory support across NICU and high-acuity settings, including Emergency Department (required)
  • Manage respiratory care for patients with conditions including ARDS, aspiration, COVID, pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis
  • Support airway care, including direct intubation (neonatal) (required), intubation assist, and tracheostomy care/management
  • Perform and support neonatal/pediatric equipment/procedures including:
    • Assist in high risk delivery
    • Bubble CPAP
    • CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP
    • High frequency jet ventilator (required)
    • Oscillating ventilator (required)
    • Pressure/volume ventilator (required)
    • Umbilical blood gases (required)
  • Provide oxygen therapy including bag and mask, ET tube, HFNC, oxygen tanks, T-piece, and trach collar
  • Support ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and troubleshooting high pressure alarms
  • Ensure suctioning and airway patency with skills such as suctioning (ETT, NT), oral/nasal suctioning, nasal/oral airway placement
  • Perform pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
  • Medication support includes Nitric Oxide (INo)
  • Perform and support respiratory diagnostic needs including spirometry (required)
  • Work to meet clinical documentation needs using Epic
