About This Position
Now Hiring: Per Diem Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Join our compassionate team at a small congregate living facility where quality care comes first.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and dependable Per Diem Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who is passionate about providing exceptional resident care in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Position Details:
Per Diem
Day Shift/Night shift
12-hour shifts (0600-1830, 1800-0630)
Differential Pay
Small resident-to-staff ratio, allowing for personalized, high-quality care
Supportive leadership and collaborative team
LVNs function as the Charge Nurse during their shift, providing clinical leadership, coordinating resident care, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the facility.
Please Note:
As a smaller facility with consistent staffing, per diem shifts are currently limited. Most available shifts become available when a scheduled nurse requests time off or calls out.
However, we are excited to announce that our facility will be expanding from 6 residents to 18 residents in the near future. We are hiring per diem LVNs now with the intention of offering additional and more consistent hours as we grow. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team early and grow with us.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Charge Nurse, overseeing nursing operations during the shift and acting as the primary clinical leader.
Supervise and support CNAs and other direct care staff.
Administer medications and treatments.
Complete nursing assessments and accurate documentation.
Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
Coordinate resident care and ensure continuity of services.
Respond to resident needs, emergencies, and family concerns in a professional manner.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and quality standards.
Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while fostering a positive team environment.
Requirements:
Current California LVN license in good standing.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and confidently as the Charge Nurse.
Experience in congregate living, skilled nursing, or long-term care is preferred, but motivated new graduates are welcome to apply.
If you’re looking to become part of a close-knit team where your leadership is valued, your work truly makes a difference, and you have the opportunity to grow alongside an expanding facility, we’d love to hear from you!
Apply today and grow with us as we expand our services and continue providing exceptional care to our residents.
