Position Summary

As our RN Weekend Warrior, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive high-quality, compassionate care throughout the weekend. You will provide clinical oversight, perform resident assessments, coordinate care, and respond to changes in condition while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team.

This position is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong critical thinking skills, and has a passion for serving seniors and post-acute residents.

What You'll Do

Provide direct nursing care and comprehensive resident assessments.

Monitor resident conditions and promptly respond to changes in health status.

Administer medications, treatments, and injections safely and accurately.

Manage residents with complex medical conditions, including rehabilitation, dementia, chronic illness, and post-acute care needs.

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, HIPAA, and facility standards.

Perform nursing procedures including IV therapy, catheter care, wound care, tube feedings, and other skilled nursing interventions.

Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff to promote quality resident outcomes.

Assist with triage and emergency situations while ensuring resident safety and comfort.

What We're Looking For/Required Qualifications:

Current and active RN license in good standing.

Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, post-acute care, rehabilitation, or a related healthcare setting.

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Knowledge of nursing best practices, medication administration, infection prevention, and resident-centered care.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to remain calm, organized, and compassionate in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience caring for geriatric, memory care, or rehabilitation residents.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).

Experience leading and supporting nursing teams.
