Memorial Health Care Systems is proud to be recognized as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital for 2026, and we are currently seeking a full-time Patient Care Manager Assistant for our Family Medical Center in Seward, NE. This Medical Assistant or LPN position is weekdays Monday - Friday with no weekend rotation. This position requires good communication skills between the nurse and providers. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential to providing excellent customer service and communicating with patients. Previous clinic nursing experience is preferred, and Practical Nurse license, Medical Assistant degree or certification, or Medication Aide license is required. Computer skills are necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow provider as assigned
Patient assessment
Knowledge of immunizations and allergies
Injections - IM, sub Q, intradermal
EKG and various treatments - nebulizers, pulse oximetry
Monitor patients
Patient education
Patient callbacks, pharmacy callbacks
Assist with Provider/Nurse schedules
Assist with quality gap monitoring and closure
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the Family Medical Center Patient Care Manager Assistant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education and/or Experience: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one year experience in a rural medical clinic or private medical practice preferred.
Current Practical Nurse or Medication Aide licensure in the State of Nebraska, or Medical Assistant degree or certification.
