About This Position
Vision Quest Solutions is actively recruiting a contract Nurse Practitioner for an IHS government contract in Fort Thompson, South Dakota.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams.
Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, and complex health conditions.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (lab work, imaging, EKGs).
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and manage pharmacotherapy.
Provide patient education, counseling, and health promotion guidance.
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain detailed patient records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Graduate-level education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
National board certification in a population focus (e.g., FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, ACNP-BC).
Advanced clinical training and competency evaluation.
Skills and Competencies
Strong diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making.
Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Hourly Rate: $105 - $115 per hour (please note this is a rough estimate and salary will be set at the time of the contract award)
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8 am to 5 pm
An active and unrestricted RN license from any State is acceptable.
Must be a United States citizen with no need for sponsorship.
