In-Home Caregiver | $21.50–$23.00/hr
Heritage Path Aging Solutions
Omaha, Nebraska & Surrounding Areas
Pay: $21.50–$23.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time with opportunities for additional hours
Schedule: Days, evenings, weekends and overnight opportunities
We're Building a Different Kind of Home Care Company
We're not looking for someone to simply fill a shift.
We're looking for caregivers families would trust with someone they love.
Heritage Path Aging Solutions provides premium, personalized in-home care designed to help older adults remain safe, independent and confident in the place they know best: home.
Our caregivers do more than complete a list of tasks. They learn their clients, respect their routines, notice changes, communicate concerns and help make each day better.
Better care. Better days. Better at home.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities are based on each client's individualized care plan and may include:
Bathing, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene assistance
Toileting and incontinence care
Mobility and transfer assistance
Medication reminders
Meal preparation and meal support
Light housekeeping and laundry
Companionship and meaningful engagement
Dementia and memory-care support
Respite care
Transportation and errands when assigned
Maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment
Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition, behavior, mobility or environment
Completing required shift documentation
Communicating concerns promptly to the Heritage Path team
What Makes This a Premium Caregiving Position?
Premium care isn't about doing more tasks. It's about how you care for someone while doing them.
We expect our caregivers to:
Arrive on time and prepared
Present themselves professionally
Treat every client with dignity and respect
Learn each client's routines and preferences
Encourage independence whenever possible
Be engaged and present during the shift
Notice changes rather than simply complete tasks
Communicate concerns before they become bigger problems
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
Respect the client's home, privacy and belongings
Follow the individualized care plan
Complete documentation accurately and on time
You will often work independently in a client's home. We need caregivers who can be trusted to maintain the same standard of care whether someone is watching or not.
Who We're Looking For
You may be a strong fit for Heritage Path if you are:
Dependable.
When a client is waiting for help getting out of bed, bathing, eating or completing another important part of their day, showing up matters.
Observant.
You notice when something doesn't seem right and communicate it.
Compassionate.
You understand that needing assistance should never mean losing dignity.
Professional.
You respect confidentiality, boundaries, client property and the responsibility that comes with entering someone's home.
Engaged.
You understand that companionship means more than sitting in the same room. Conversation, activities, walks, hobbies and meaningful interaction can be an important part of a client's day.
Accountable.
You communicate, document your work and take responsibility for the commitments you make.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Be legally authorized to work in the United States
Have reliable transportation to client homes
Have reliable phone access
Be able to successfully complete required pre-employment screening
Be comfortable working independently in private residences
Be able to follow written care plans and company procedures
Be able to perform the essential functions of assigned client care, with reasonable accommodation when applicable
Demonstrate professional communication and sound judgment
Additional driver's license and automobile insurance requirements apply to caregivers authorized to transport clients.
Experience
Previous caregiving experience is preferred.
We welcome applicants with backgrounds such as:
In-home caregiving
CNA
Home health
Assisted living
Memory care
Hospice
Personal care
Direct support
Family caregiving
Other healthcare or senior-care experience
Experience matters, but it isn't everything.
Reliability, character, judgment and compassion matter just as much.
Compensation
$21.50–$23.00 per hour
Starting pay within the range may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, specialized skills, availability and assignment requirements.
Scheduling
Client needs vary, so potential assignments may include:
Days
Evenings
Weekends
Overnights
Respite assignments
Extended shifts
Recurring weekly assignments
Applicants with flexible availability may have access to additional assignments as our client base grows.
We ask applicants to provide only the availability they can consistently maintain.
The Heritage Path Standard
We believe older adults should be able to receive help without surrendering their independence, dignity, routines or sense of home.
That requires exceptional caregivers.
We're intentionally building a team of people who take pride in their work and understand the responsibility families are placing in our hands.
If you're dependable, compassionate, professional and ready to provide the level of care you would expect for someone you love, we'd like to meet you.
