The Role
The LPN Charge Nurse (Night Shift) provides overnight clinical leadership for Assisted Living and Independent Living residents. This role ensures resident safety and well-being, supports care staff, and responds with sound nursing judgment when it matters most.
This position is well-suited for a nurse who brings calm leadership, accountability, and a people-first approach to care.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide overnight clinical oversight and monitor resident well-being
· Respond to changes in condition and emergency situations with sound judgment
· Coordinate care through physician orders, pharmacy needs, and family communication
· Guide and support care staff to ensure quality care and appropriate coverage
· Administer medications and support Medication Aides as needed
· Maintain accurate, timely documentation
· Support admissions, discharges, and monthly medication cart changeovers
· Assist residents with overnight needs and activities of daily living
· Collaborate with nursing leadership as needed
Qualifications
· Active and current Nebraska nursing license (required)
· CPR certification (required)
· At least 1 year of nursing experience in assisted living or long-term care (preferred)
· Leadership experience preferred
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
· Comfortable with electronic charting systems
· Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

This is a full-time position working the DAY SHIFT from 6:00am-6:00pm three to four (3-4) shifts per week including every other weekend and rotating holidays.
NIGHT SHIFT:
This is a full-time position working the NIGHT SHIFT from 6:00pm-6:00am three to four (3-4) shifts per week including every other weekend and rotating holidays.
