Position Details

Responsibilities
- Administer medications and provide immunizations, intradermal injections, and intramuscular injections.
- Perform TB testing, aseptic technique, ear lavage, and follow-up phone calls.
- Room patients in adult and pediatric outpatient clinic settings.
- Assist with biopsies, nebulizer treatments, and Pap smears, including setting up aseptic or sterile procedure trays.
- Perform blood glucose testing via glucometer, pregnancy testing, strep testing, and urine dipstick or urinalysis testing.
- Prepare charts, make pharmacy calls, process patient refill requests, schedule appointments, stock supplies, and perform telephone triage.
- Support general or family practice and internal medicine care.
- Obtain hearing screenings, height and weight measurements, 12-lead EKG/ECG readings, vital signs, pulse oximetry, and vision testing.
- Collect, label, and process throat and urine specimens, including UA/clean-catch samples.
- Prepare patients for examinations through positioning and draping, and record histories, medications, and allergies.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification.
- Current CMA certification.
- Charting system experience with any system is required.
- Travel experience is not required.

Experience
At least 6 months of Medical Assistant experience is required.
