American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and a TX or compact RN license.
Short term acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center designation
MS/Tele unit with Neuro Tele patient population
Patient ratio of 1:4
Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
Floating between units required
No on-call requirements
Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at submission
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response required
Experience with telemetry remote monitoring, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care preferred
Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
Neuro stepdown experience preferred
Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA, craniotomy, aneurysm repair, intracranial bleeds, post-TPA care, and spinal cord injury preferred
Epic EMR experience required
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Provide med/surg telemetry nursing care to neurological patients, including monitoring for dysrhythmias and coordinating rapid response/code team activation as needed
Perform respiratory support including oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
Uniform/dress code requires solid navy blue scrub attire for licensed nursing personnel
Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated

Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3 month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
