About This Position
Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time and support care plan updates
Monitor residents for symptoms, adverse reactions, and health changes, reporting promptly
Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs) and transcribe physician orders
Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Observe physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents and communicate findings effectively
Qualifications & Skills:
Active LPN license in good standing
CPR and First Aid certifications
Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical skills
Experience in senior care or medication administration is preferred
