Shift Information
- 12-hour day shifts
- Shift hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Location: Salinas, CA
Requirements and Skills
- Current and valid RN license in the state of California
- Proven experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong skills in fetal monitoring and maternal assessment
- Ability to provide comprehensive care during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team collaboration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor the physical and emotional needs of laboring mothers and their babies
- Implement nursing care plans and interventions during labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using specialized equipment
- Assist physicians during deliveries and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
- Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in medical records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient outcomes
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions when necessary
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in California
- Experience working in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Certifications in BLS and NRP highly desirable
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage high-acuity patients
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to maternity care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Pay Rate: $75.00 - $89.00 per hour
