Shift Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Requirements & Skills
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
- Experience and clinical competence in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong assessment skills in maternal and fetal monitoring
- Ability to manage labor progress and provide supportive care throughout delivery
- Proficiency in emergency response and neonatal resuscitation techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and evidence-based practice standards
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, utilizing electronic fetal monitoring equipment effectively
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor and delivery procedures
- Educate and support patients and families regarding labor processes and newborn care
- Document all patient care accurately and timely according to established protocols
- Respond promptly to obstetrical emergencies and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Current California RN licensure
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Labor & Delivery nursing preferred
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
