Requirements
- Valid Dietitian credentials and license as required by state regulations
- Experience or knowledge relevant to renal and transplant patient nutrition is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Ability to conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized patient care plans
- Proficient in documentation and use of electronic health records
- Commitment to adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nutritional assessments and interventions tailored to kidney transplant patients
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient-centered nutrition care plans
- Collaborate closely with the transplant team including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families regarding dietary modifications and nutritional management pre- and post-transplant
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to optimize health outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nutritional care activities
- Stay current with clinical guidelines and participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field; Registered Dietitian (RD) credential preferred
- Relevant clinical experience, ideally in renal or transplant dietetics
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for patient advocacy and delivering high-quality care
