Requirements & Skills
- Active RN licensure in the state of Minnesota
- Proven experience in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide comprehensive perinatal care, including fetal monitoring and labor support
- Effective communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Adherence to safety protocols and standards of nursing practice
- Current BLS and possibly ACLS certification (as required for OB/L&D roles)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being through continuous assessment and fetal heart monitoring
- Assist physicians and midwives during delivery and any necessary interventions
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding labor processes, postnatal care, and infant care
- Document patient care accurately and timely in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, ensuring patient safety and effective clinical outcomes
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings to maintain best practices
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota is required
- Experience working in Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care
- Ability to work flexible shifts as needed to support patient care demands
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $78.00 to $92.00. As a Quick2Hire contract nurse, you will have a dedicated recruiter supporting your placement and receive weekly pay, ensuring timely and consistent compensation.
