Requirements
- Experience: 2 years
- Charting System: Preferred Epic
- Travel Experience: Not required (Screen 1st time travelers)
- Certifications: ASATT (required), BLS, NBSTSA (required), Washington license
- Skills: Aseptic technique
- First Assist: required
- Line insertions / Circulate: required
Responsibilities
- Assist in CVOR surgical procedures while maintaining strict aseptic technique.
- Support first assist during operative cases as required.
- Prepare and maintain case/case cart and crash cart readiness for procedures.
- Provide line insertions / circulate support as required by the room workflow.
- Support OR teams across general OR activity and CVOR case flow, including trauma participation as required.
- Work within the assigned CVOR environment (including first-time traveler screening requirements).

- Vascular (includes): Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair) (required), Vein stripping (required)
- Cardiovascular (includes): Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery (required), Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) (required), Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) (required)
- General Surgery (includes): Appendectomy (required), Cholecystectomy (required), Colon resection – Open/LAP (required), Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical (required), Laparoscopic assisted procedures (required)
- Robotics (includes): Cardiothoracic robotic surgery (required), Gastrointestinal robotic surgery (required), Gynecologic robotic surgery (required)
- Work Settings (includes): CVOR, First Assist (required), General OR, Pedi General OR (required), Trauma (required)
- Thoracic (includes): Laparoscopic assisted cases, Lung resection – Thoracotomy, VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery)
