Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with patient preparation for sleep studies.
- Set up, calibrate, and monitor sleep study equipment according to established protocols.
- Conduct polysomnography testing and ensure accurate data collection throughout the study.
- Apply and maintain electrodes and sensors appropriately, verifying signals and patient comfort.
- Document study activity and results information in accordance with facility procedures.
- Identify issues during testing and take appropriate troubleshooting steps to maintain data quality.
- Follow safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards throughout each encounter.
Requirements
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential
- Strong knowledge of polysomnography procedures and equipment used during sleep studies
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues that may affect signal quality during testing
- Patient-focused approach with professionalism and attention to detail
