Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per prescribed protocols.
- Operate imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic nuclear medicine images.
- Verify patient identity and clinical orders prior to imaging.
- Ensure radiation safety practices and comply with established ALARA principles.
- Provide patient support and education before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with workflow to support timely imaging.
- Follow facility policies for infection control, safety, and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Current licensure/credentialing as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, as applicable
- Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA practices
- Ability to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol
- Strong patient care skills and attention to detail
- Experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment (as applicable)
