Responsibilities
- Conduct Admission Criteria (required)
- Perform care coordination
- Complete Continued Stay Reviews
- Determine medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines
- Complete needs assessment and order DME
- Develop and maintain plan of care
- Conduct pre-cert review (required)
- Manage prior authorizations (required)
- Utilize InterQual criteria (required)
- Utilize Milliman guidelines (required)
- Provide workers’ comp case management (required)
- Follow HIPAA guidelines (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
- Apply Department of Health requirements (required)
- Use ICD 10 coding (required)
- Support CMS: Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
- Adhere to The Joint Commission / Core Measure / National Safety Goals (required)
- Follow Workers Compensation requirements (required)
- Provide acute hospital support within the following areas: Emergency Department (required), ICU, MS, NICU (required), Pediatrics (required), PICU (required), Women’s Services (required)
Requirements
- 2 years of experience (required)
- Acute care hospital experience (required, hardstop)
- ACM-RN certification (required)
- Active AK RN License
- BLS (required)
- Epic charting system experience (required)
- Community Hospital Experience (preferred)
- LTAC Experience (preferred)
- Trauma Level II Experience (preferred)
