Responsibilities

  • Accurately monitor patients and procedural data.
  • Perform EKG lead placement.
  • Scrub procedures while maintaining a sterile field.
  • Support abdominal and pelvic procedures, including angioplasty, chest tube placement, embolization, ERCP, gastrostomy tube placement, inferior vena cava filter placement, liver biopsy, paracentesis, radio embolization, stent placement, and thoracentesis.
  • Support vascular studies and procedures, including angioplasty, carotid stenting, dialysis graft creation or revision, dialysis graft interventions such as fistulograms and declots, endovascular interventions, TIPS, and upper and lower extremity angiography.
  • Support electrophysiology studies, including arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, electrophysiology evaluation, insertion and programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage closure, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies.
  • Support cardiac cath lab procedures, including ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations for pediatric and neonatal patients, hemodynamic monitoring, Impella insertion, left heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, right heart catheterization, Rotablator atherectomy, temporary pacemaker procedures, and TAVR.
  • Support neurological studies and procedures, including carotid angiography, discograms, embolization, stent placement, thrombolysis, thrombectomy, and vertebroplasty.
  • Support genitourinary studies and procedures, including catheter or drain exchange, cystoscopy, embolization, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, percutaneous stone extraction, renal artery stent placement, and ureteral stent placement.
  • Work in diagnostic cardiac cath, electrophysiology, interventional cardiac cath, interventional radiology, and special procedures settings.
  • Apply sterile technique and perform coil embolization.

Requirements

  • ACLS certification
  • ARRT or RCIS certification
  • ARRT R certification
  • BLS certification
  • CCI RCIS certification
