Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to established protocols and department standards.
- Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and promote comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to support timely patient care.
- Review images for quality and completeness before completing exams.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in the designated charting system.
Requirements
- Certifications and licensure: ARRT CT (required), ARRT R, BLS, and Washington state license.
- Charting system: Epic (required).
- Work settings: Adult acute care and emergency department.
- Abdomen and pelvis: Abdomen without and/or with contrast; pelvis without and/or with contrast.
- Head and neck: Carotid, head without and/or with contrast, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head.
- Spine and musculoskeletal: Cervical, lumbar, musculoskeletal trauma, and thoracic.
- Chest: Chest without and/or with contrast.
- Professional knowledge and skills: Isolation precautions/PPE, preparation and/or administration of contrast media, radiation safety, starting peripheral IVs (required), and venipuncture (required).
- Image display and post-processing: Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and region of interest measurement (ROI).
- Equipment: PACS and Siemens.
