Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations and support safe, efficient imaging workflows.
- Prepare patients, verify exam information, and provide clear instructions throughout imaging procedures.
- Operate MRI equipment, complete image acquisition, and review studies for technical quality.
- Collaborate with clinical teams while following department procedures, patient safety standards, and infection-control practices.
- Document imaging services accurately in the electronic medical record and imaging systems.
Requirements
- Certifications: ARRT MR and BLS
- Charting system: Epic required
- Work settings: Adult Acute Care required; Adult ICU required; Adult Outpatient required; ER/Trauma required; Pediatric Acute Care required; Pediatric Outpatient required
- Head and neck imaging: Cranial nerves required; face/soft tissue neck required; head MRV required; neck MRV required; orbits required
- Chest imaging: Breast required
- Special imaging procedures: CINE (cerebrospinal fluid flow study) required; diffusion (non-brain) required; gradient echo imaging required; image post-processing, including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping and subtraction, required; peripheral MRA (iliac, runoff) required; spectroscopy required
- Equipment: GE required; PACS required
- IV and safety skills: Starting peripheral IVs required; Siemens Hardstop requirement; isolation precautions/PPE; preparation and/or administration of contrast media; radiation safety
- Cardiovascular imaging: MR Angio lower extremity with bilateral runoff required; MR aortogram required; MR cardiac with stress with or without contrast required; MR cardiac with or without contrast required; MR pulmonary required
