About This Position
Certified Medical Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Educate patients on medication instructions, diet, and lifestyle changes
- Provide support to patients and their families during healthcare visits
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program
- Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of medical procedures
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of X-Ray procedures is a plus
