Responsibilities
- Accurate monitoring
- Perform EKG lead placement (required)
- Serve as room circulator
- Scrub and maintain a sterile field
- Perform arrhythmia induction (required)
- Obtain baseline measurements (required)
- Support cardiac ablation (required)
- Perform cardiac mapping (required)
- Perform cardioversion
- Perform conduction studies (required)
- Support electrophysiology evaluation (required)
- Assist with insertion and programming of AICDs
- Support left atrial appendage (LAA) closure
- Assist with pacemaker insertion
- Perform tilt table studies
- Support cardiac stent placement
- Assist with Impella insertion
- Perform left heart catheterization
- Support percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
- Assist with percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
- Perform right heart catheterization
- Support Rotablator atherectomy
- Assist with temporary pacemaker procedures
- Support transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) (required)
- Support Watchman procedures (required)
- Assist with thrombolysis and thrombectomy
- Support coil embolization (required)
Requirements
- ACLS certification
- ARRT or RCIS certification, not both
- ARRT R certification
- BLS certification
- Washington RT or CIS license, not both
