Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations across adult and pediatric care settings while following established imaging protocols.
- Prepare patients, equipment, and imaging areas for diagnostic procedures.
- Prepare and/or administer contrast media according to applicable protocols.
- Apply radiation safety practices and isolation precautions/PPE.
- Start peripheral IVs and support safe, efficient patient flow.
- Complete image post-processing and related technical tasks as required for diagnostic interpretation.
- Provide management and leadership support during assigned shifts.
Requirements
- ARRT MR certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Travel experience is not required.
- Experience with abdomen and pelvis imaging, including abdomen, abdominal magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA), abdominal magnetic resonance venography (MRV), female pelvis, magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP), and male pelvis
- Experience in adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, ER/trauma, and pediatric acute care settings
- Experience with head and neck imaging, including brain, cranial nerves, face/soft tissue neck, head magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA), head magnetic resonance venography (MRV), neck magnetic resonance venography (MRV), and orbits
- Experience with chest imaging, including breast, chest, and myocardium
- Experience with spine imaging, including cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, spinal trauma, thoracic, and thoracic magnetic resonance angiography
- Experience with CINE cerebrospinal fluid flow studies, diffusion imaging (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, image post-processing including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping and subtraction, maximum intensity projection (MIP), multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), perfusion, peripheral magnetic resonance angiography including iliac and runoff, spectroscopy, spin echo images, surface coils, T-1 weighted images, and T-2 weighted images
- Experience with musculoskeletal imaging of the foot, hand, hip/bony pelvis, knee, lower extremity long bones, shoulder, sternum, temporomandibular joint with or without contrast, and upper extremity long bones
- Experience with cardiovascular MRI, including MR angio lower extremity with bilateral runoff, MR aortogram, MR cardiac with stress with or without contrast, MR cardiac with or without contrast, and MR pulmonary
- Siemens equipment experience
