About This Position
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in Lubbock, TX, and take on a 13-week travel contract providing care in a neuro telemetry setting. This night-shift opportunity is a fit for an RN skilled in telemetry and stepdown care.

Responsibilities
Provide nursing care in a neuro telemetry environment, monitor and respond to patient needs, administer and manage ordered therapies, and collaborate with the care team to support safe, coordinated care.
Requirements
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Work settings: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response: Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; use Rapid Response and Code teams
- IV therapy and phlebotomy: Blood product administration; central line care and management; peripheral line care and management
- Medications: Manage cardiac drips without titration; titrate cardiac drips; follow heparin protocols; manage vasoactive drips without titration
- Respiratory: Nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
- Professional practice: Isolation precautions and PPE
- Endocrine/metabolic: Titrate insulin drips

Experience

- Patient ratio experience: 1:4
- Charting system experience required; any charting system is accepted
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
