Shift Schedule
Evening Shift | 5 days a week | 8-hour shifts | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience
- Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification
- Current BLS certification
- Fluoroscopy permit (required)
- Venipuncture certification
- Experience working in Adult Outpatient settings (required), with additional experience in Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, and ICU preferred
- Expertise performing advanced CT imaging including:
- Abdomen and Pelvis with and without contrast
- Chest with and without contrast
- Head and Neck with and without contrast
- Spine and Musculoskeletal imaging: cervical, lumbar, thoracic, trauma
- Special procedures: aspirations, biopsies, drainage, coronary CTA, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, myelography, transplant studies, vascular CTA
- Proficient in use of Siemens and Toshiba CT equipment (required) and PACS image management
- Skilled in image display and post-processing including multiplanar reconstruction (MPR)
- Competent in professional practices such as preparation and administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IV’s, and venipuncture
- Ability to respond effectively to Code Stroke situations
- No travel required for this position
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans for a diverse patient population in outpatient and acute settings following established protocols
- Prepare and administer contrast media safely and monitor patient reactions per policy
- Conduct specialized imaging procedures including aspirations, biopsies, and drainage with precision and care
- Operate Siemens and Toshiba CT scanners and PACS for image acquisition and management
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic information
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality standards at all times
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records using Epic charting system
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as Code Strokes according to protocols
- Support continuous education and training to stay current with advances in CT imaging technology and techniques
Qualifications
- Valid ARRT Radiography (R) certification plus fluoroscopy permit
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and venipuncture certifications
- Minimum of 1 year professional experience as a CT technologist with proven competency in advanced CT imaging
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records system
- Outstanding patient care and communication skills with ability to work effectively in high-stress environments
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA, radiation safety, and industry best practices
