Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a large hospital facility similar to Providence Saint Vincent
- Preferred experience in teaching and community hospital settings
- Proficient with charting systems, Epic preferred
- ARRT Registered Technologist (R) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Fluoroscopy Permit required
- Demonstrated skill in abdominal imaging including abdomen decubitus, supine (KUB), and upright positions
- Comprehensive expertise in upper extremity imaging, including AC joints, clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, humerus, scapula, shoulder, thumb/finger, trauma shoulder/humerus (Scapular Y, Transthoracic Axial), and trauma upper extremity (non-shoulder)
- Experience in community and adult outpatient care, bedside/portable procedures, emergency department, ICU, NICU, operating room, pediatric acute and outpatient care (NICU experience required)
- Proficient in lower extremity imaging, including ankle, calcaneus, femur, foot, knee, patella, tibia-fibula, and toes (calcaneus and patella required)
- Expertise in enema studies — barium enema-air contrast and barium enema-single contrast (both required)
- Fluoroscopy studies including barium swallow/esophagus, contrast enema, ERCP, and upper GI series (all required)
- Mobile and surgical imaging skills including C-Arm procedures, portable abdomen, and portable chest
- Spine and pelvis imaging including cervical spine, hip, lumbar spine, pelvis, sacrum and/or coccyx (sacrum/coccyx required), thoracic spine
- Chest and thorax imaging skills: chest AP, chest lateral decubitus, chest routine, upper airway (soft tissue neck)
- Head imaging skills including facial bones, orbits, and skull (all required)
- Proficient with imaging equipment and systems: GE, O-ARM, PACS, Philips (all required)
- Strong professional knowledge in infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, preparation and administration of contrast media, and radiation safety
- Additional skills: experience in children’s hospital settings and Carestream imaging system (required)
- No travel required; preference for large hospital facility experience
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality radiographic procedures for abdomen, upper and lower extremities, enema, fluoroscopy, spine, pelvis, chest, thorax, and head imaging according to protocols and safety standards
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment including GE, Philips, O-ARM, PACS, and Carestream ensuring optimal functionality
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams in various patient care settings including adult outpatient, NICU, emergency department, ICU, and pediatric units
- Ensure proper infection prevention and apply isolation precautions and PPE when appropriate
- Prepare and/or administer contrast media safely, adhering to institutional and regulatory guidelines
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety practices to protect patients, staff, and self
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using preferred charting systems, including Epic
- Provide compassionate patient care, including pediatric and trauma patients, to enhance patient comfort and cooperation
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications
Qualifications
- Licensed and certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT Registered) with current BLS and Fluoroscopy Permit
- At least 1 year of experience in a large hospital setting with a strong preference for teaching or community hospital background
- Proven competence in a wide range of radiological procedures, including trauma and pediatric imaging
- Familiarity and proficiency with advanced imaging technology and charting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective patient and team interactions
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional ethics
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly rate between $53.00 and $63.00, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
