Requirements
- Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama
- Experience in a Medical Surgical Unit or similar acute care setting preferred
- Strong clinical skills with ability to perform patient assessments, develop nursing care plans, and deliver high-quality patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in the medical-surgical unit, adhering to established nursing protocols and standards
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed
- Conduct thorough assessments and document patient progress accurately and timely
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding their health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, following infection control and safety procedures
- Participate in continuous professional development and maintain compliance with nursing standards
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical surgical or acute care nursing role preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
