Requirements

  • Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama
  • Experience in a Medical Surgical Unit or similar acute care setting preferred
  • Strong clinical skills with ability to perform patient assessments, develop nursing care plans, and deliver high-quality patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to adults in the medical-surgical unit, adhering to established nursing protocols and standards
  • Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed
  • Conduct thorough assessments and document patient progress accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding their health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, following infection control and safety procedures
  • Participate in continuous professional development and maintain compliance with nursing standards

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical surgical or acute care nursing role preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
