Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Nebraska
- Proven experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn care practices
- Ability to effectively monitor and manage the progress of labor and delivery
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, contractions, and labor progression
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during delivery and emergency procedures
- Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and newborn care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for mother and baby throughout the childbirth process
- Respond promptly to complications and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Qualifications
- Valid RN license for the state of Nebraska
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Previous L&D nursing experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure clinical settings
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay rate: $77.00 - $91.00
