Responsibilities
- Perform admission criteria activities (required)
- Coordinate care and assist with care coordination needs
- Complete continued stay reviews
- Determine medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines
- Conduct needs assessments, including ordering DME
- Develop and maintain the plan of care
- Support pre-cert review activities (required)
- Manage prior authorizations (required)
- Utilize InterQual criteria (required)
- Utilize Milliman guidelines (required)
- Coordinate worker’s comp case management (required)
- Apply HIPAA guidelines (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
- Follow CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) requirements
- Meet Department of Health requirements (required)
- Use ICD 10 coding (required)
- Support The Joint Commission / Core Measure / National Safety Goals (required)
- Comply with Workers Compensation requirements (required)
- Bring acute hospital experience across the following specialty areas as listed: Emergency Department (required), ICU, MS, NICU (required), Pediatrics (required), PICU (required), Women’s Services (required)
Requirements
- 2 years of experience (required)
- Acute care hospital experience (HARDSTOP requirement)
- Charting System: Required (Epic)
- Certifications: ACM-RN (required)
- Active AK RN License
- BLS (required)
Preferred: Community Hospital Experience, LTAC Experience, Trauma Level II Experience.
