Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN - General) in Anchorage, AK, for a 13-week Travel/Contract assignment supporting Case Management RN work with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 7:30–16:00). Responsibilities

  • Perform admission criteria reviews (required)
  • Coordinate care across the continuum
  • Conduct continued stay reviews
  • Determine medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines
  • Complete needs assessment and coordinate/order DME as needed
  • Develop and follow the plan of care
  • Complete pre-cert reviews (required)
  • Submit prior authorizations (required)
  • Utilize InterQual criteria (required)
  • Utilize Milliman guidelines (required)
  • Support workers’ comp case management (required)
  • Apply HIPAA guidelines (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
  • Use ICD-10 coding (required)
  • Apply CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and Department of Health standards (required)
  • Meet The Joint Commission / Core Measure / National Safety Goals (required)
  • Support Workers Compensation (required)
  • Work within acute hospital settings, including Emergency Department (required) and NICU (required)
  • Provide case management support across ICU, MS, Pediatrics (required), PICU (required), and Women’s Services (required)

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in acute care hospital settings (hardstop)
  • Required charting system: Epic
  • Certifications: ACM-RN (required)
  • AK RN License
  • BLS (required)
  • Admission criteria experience (required) and pre-cert / prior authorization experience (required)
  • Experience using ICD-10 coding (required)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
  • Experience supporting Workers Compensation (required)
  • Acute hospital experience within Emergency Department (required)
  • Acute hospital experience within NICU (required)
  • Acute hospital experience within Pediatrics (required)
  • Acute hospital experience within PICU (required)
  • Acute hospital experience within Women’s Services (required)
