About This Position

Join our team as a Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Electrophysiology Technician in Colville, WA, on a 13-week travel contract offering day shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week, and competitive hourly pay.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Assignment duration: 13 weeks
  • Start date: October 5, 2026
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

Support respiratory and neurodiagnostic care across adult critical care, emergency, neonatal, pediatric, and pulmonary function settings. Provide respiratory treatments, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, airway support, blood gas collection and interpretation, patient transport, and related clinical procedures within the scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Current Washington state license
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Travel experience is not required
  • Adult critical care and emergency department experience
  • Medication delivery systems: aerosol setup with mask, aerosol setup with tracheostomy, Medihaler, and metered-dose inhaler (MDI)
  • Medication administration: Albuterol, Atrovent, Bicarbonate (required), Combivent, Flovent, inhaled Flolan (required), inhaled steroids, Isuprel (required), Ketamine (required), Lidocaine (required), Mucomyst, nitric oxide (iNO), Perforomist (required), Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, terbutaline sulfate (required), theophylline (required), Tobramycin, and Xopenex
  • Neonatal and pediatric equipment and procedures: apnea monitor (required), assistance with high-risk delivery, Bivent (required), bubble CPAP, capillary blood gases, CPAP/nasal CPAP/BiPAP, direct neonatal intubation (required), direct pediatric intubation (required), ECMO (required), high-frequency jet ventilator (required), IMV/SIMV (required), intubation assistance, interdepartmental neonatal transports (required), oscillating ventilator (required), pressure/volume ventilator (required), and umbilical blood gases
  • Pulmonary function experience: arterial punctures, bronchial provocation testing (required), cold air studies (required), diffusion testing (required), exhaled breath testing, HAST studies (required), lung volume—helium dilution (required), lung volume—nitrogen washout (required), lung volume—plethysmograph (required), respiratory therapy administration, shunt studies (required), spirometry (required), and stress test administration (required)
  • Patient care experience with aspiration, COVID, and pneumonia
  • Oxygen therapy: bag and mask, ET tube, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hyperbaric (required), oxygen tanks, protocol-driven ECMO (required), T-piece, and tracheostomy collar
  • Professional knowledge and skills: basic EKG, chest physiotherapy, chest physiotherapy with vest, arterial blood gas collection, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), and management/lead experience (required)
  • Ventilator management: BiPAP, CPAP, flow-by, high-frequency jet ventilator (required), high-frequency oscillator (required), IMV (intermittent mandatory ventilation) (required), interdepartmental and ambulance patient transport, SIMV (synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation), troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
