- Travel nursing experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care setting.
- Assess patient conditions, prioritize care, and communicate significant changes to the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer treatments, monitor patient responses, and document care accurately in the charting system.
- Collaborate with providers and other clinical professionals during routine care and emergency situations.
Requirements
- Current nursing licensure appropriate for the assignment.
- ACLS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification required.
- TNCC certification required.
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.
- IV therapy, including arterial line management and central line care and management.
- Continuous IV sedation management.
- Ability to titrate cardiac drips.
- Ability to titrate vasoactive drips.
- BiPAP/CPAP management.
- Care of ventilated patients.
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Suctioning, including ETT and NT suctioning.
- Isolation precautions and PPE.
- Neuro Intensive Care Unit experience required.
- Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience required.
- Trauma Intensive Care Unit experience required.
- Medical Intensive Care Unit experience.
