About This Position

Responsibilities
- Provide safe, organized nursing care throughout the preoperative, postoperative, and recovery process.
- Monitor patient status, identify changes promptly, and communicate clinical findings to the appropriate care team.
- Support preparation, recovery, and discharge processes for surgical and procedural patients.
- Promote patient safety, comfort, education, and continuity of care in Everett, WA.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse licensure appropriate for practice in Washington.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- Experience in ambulatory/outpatient, inpatient, pre-post, and Phase II Recovery work settings; inpatient experience is required.
- Cardiac monitoring skills, including dysrhythmia recognition and management.
- Medication experience with narcotics/opioid analgesics and reversal agents.
- Experience with conscious sedation, general anesthesia, local anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), and nerve blocks.
- Pain assessment and management skills.
- Ability to interpret and communicate lab values.
- Experience supporting cardiac, ENT, general, gynecologic, ophthalmology, orthopedic, and urology surgery cases.
- Care of patients undergoing pacemaker insertion and post-cath lab procedures is required.
- Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG is required.
- Experience with pre/post cath lab procedures and pre/post interventional radiology procedures is required.
- Ability to provide discharge instructions, complete medication reconciliation, obtain operative/procedural consent, and support pre/postoperative procedures.
- Pre-op assessment, pre-op education, pre-op medications, and review of the history and physical.
- Ability to start and maintain IVs.
