Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in ambulatory/outpatient, inpatient, pre-post, and Phase II Recovery settings.
- Care for patients undergoing cardiac, ENT, general, gynecologic, ophthalmology, orthopedic, and urology surgery cases.
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias through cardiac monitoring.
- Administer and monitor narcotics/opioid analgesics and reversal agents.
- Support patients receiving conscious sedation, general anesthesia, local anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), and nerve blocks.
- Perform pain assessment and management and interpret and communicate lab values.
- Provide care for pacemaker insertion and post-cath lab procedures.
- Complete pre- and post-cath lab procedures, pre- and post-interventional radiology procedures, and pre- and post-operative procedures.
- Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG testing, operative or procedural consent, and complete pre-op assessments.
- Provide discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, pre-op education, and pre-op medications.
- Review history and physical documentation and start and maintain IVs.
Requirements
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Inpatient nursing experience required.
- Experience with pacemaker insertion required.
- Experience with post-cath lab procedures required.
- Experience with obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG required.
- Experience with pre- and post-cath lab procedures required.
- Experience with pre- and post-IR procedures.
- Experience with discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, obtaining operative/procedural consent, pre-op assessment, pre-op education, pre-op medications, and review of history and physical.
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs.
- Epic charting experience preferred.

Experience
- At least 1 year of nursing experience required.
