Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab
We are actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team in Kearney, NE. Requirements and Skills
- Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or related cardiovascular nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to operate and monitor cardiac catheterization equipment
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
- Proficiency in documenting patient care accurately and timely
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related interventional procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures by performing pre-procedural assessments and education
- Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac status throughout procedures and recovery
- Assist physicians and technologists during procedures by managing equipment and supplies
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and intervene as needed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all nursing interventions in accordance with policy
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of Nebraska
- Prior experience in cardiac or critical care nursing highly preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
