Shift Information
- 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Requirements and Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska
- Proven ability to provide direct patient care in a hospital or clinical setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in documentation and patient care reporting
- Willingness to work overnight shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients assigned on the Patient Care Unit during night shifts
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and ensure patient safety
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate as necessary
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease management when appropriate
- Adhere to established protocols, policies, and regulatory standards to maintain quality patient care
Qualifications
- Valid RN licensure in Nebraska
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, preferably in acute care or patient care unit settings
- Current BLS certification required
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and dependable professional work ethic
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments and prioritize patient care effectively
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
