Requirements and Skills
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) certification
- Experience with cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures
- Proficiency in operating fluoroscopic and imaging equipment
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and patient monitoring during procedures
- Ability to assist physicians with technical aspects during catheterization
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, operate, and maintain cardiac catheterization lab equipment and imaging devices
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during procedures
- Ensure strict adherence to sterile techniques and safety standards in the cath lab
- Document procedure details and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care
- Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on all lab equipment
Qualifications
- Current CRT or CVT certification
- Prior experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology setting preferred
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to respond effectively in emergent situations
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Valid state licensure as applicable
