Requirements and Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
- Strong clinical skills relevant to emergency care settings
- Ability to perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within the healthcare team and with patients
- Proficient in documenting patient care accurately and efficiently
- Critical thinking skills to respond effectively to emergent patient needs
- Familiarity with emergency room protocols and procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to individuals presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
- Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and evaluate symptoms promptly
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as necessary
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing care instructions
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current RN licensure in Wisconsin required
- Previous experience in an emergency room or acute care setting preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification at minimum; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and professional ethics
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate ranging from $61.00 to $72.00 based on qualifications and experience.
