Requirements & Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in interventional radiology procedures
  • Proficiency as an IR/Vascular Technologist capable of operating imaging equipment and assisting with interventions
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to perform diagnostic imaging and provide accurate imaging support during vascular and interventional procedures
  • Compliance with safety standards, infection control, and radiation protection protocols
  • Excellent teamwork and adaptability within multidisciplinary healthcare settings

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate specialized radiologic equipment to assist in interventional radiology and vascular procedures
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and institutional protocols regarding radiation safety and infection control
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with advances in the field

Qualifications

  • Formal education and certification as a Radiologic Technologist with specialization or experience in Interventional Radiology or Vascular Technology
  • Current and valid state licensure or certification as required
  • Demonstrated experience in a clinical setting performing interventional radiology procedures
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards
