Requirements & Skills
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Experience and clinical knowledge in long-term care nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care tailored to individual long-term care needs
- Proficiency in documenting patient care and maintaining accurate records
- Skill in medication administration and monitoring resident conditions
- Capability to respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or changes in resident status
- Commitment to adhering to all regulations and standards pertinent to long-term care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor resident responses
- Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Document care accurately in medical records and maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations
- Educate residents and families about health conditions, treatments, and wellness strategies
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents through vigilant monitoring and timely intervention
- Participate in quality assurance activities to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin
- Previous experience in a long-term care environment preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Compensation: Hourly rate ranging from $57.00 to $68.00
